Market sources heard that a Turkish steelmaker has concluded an ex-US deal for a scrap cargo consisting of 22,000 mt of HMS I/II 80:20 scrap at $369/mt CFR, 13,000 mt of bonus grade scrap at $379/mt CFR and 5,000 mt of shredded scrap at $374/mt CFR. Market sources indicate that this is not a new deal but has just been newly heard in the market, because it is impossible for new ex-US scrap offers to remain below levels of $370-375/mt CFR.
