On June 8, SteelOrbis reported ex-US containerized HMS I/II 80:20 scrap offers to Taiwan down at $335/mt CFR Taiwan with deals as low as $325/mt CFR.

Sources inform SteelOrbis that deals improved over the week-ended June 15 to $330-333/mt CFR and offers began to creep up from $335/mt to $340/mt CFR. With suppliers also exhibiting a wait-and-see perspective, the offers are reportedly limited. Suppliers are reportedly expecting higher prices as the July scrap buy-cycle approaches.
