Ex-UK scrap transactions in Turkey

According to market sources, a Turkish steelmaker has concluded an ex-UK deal for 15,000 mt of HMS I/II 80:20 scrap at $263/mt CFR and 21,000 mt of bonus grade scrap at $278/mt CFR. The same Turkish steelmaker has also concluded another ex-UK deal for 14,000 of HMS I/II scrap at $267/mt CFR and 14,000 mt of bonus grade scrap at $282/mt CFR. The difference between the prices is reported to be caused by the different shipment dates, while both price levels have increased by $2-3/mt compared to the price levels in ex-UK transactions concluded last week.
