Ex-Baltic scrap falls below $250/mt CFR in fresh deal to Turkey

According to market sources, an Iskenderun region-based Turkish mill has sealed a deal for an ex-Russia scrap cargo consisting of 25,000 mt of HMS I/II 80:20 at $247/mt CFR and 5,000 mt of bonus grade at $257/mt CFR. The cargo will be shipped in the first half of October, SteelOrbis has learned. Another deal from the same region was discussed in the market with HMS I/II 80:20 priced at $250/mt CFR.

The latest offers for ex-Baltic region scrap cargoes were ranging at $252-255/mt CFR for HMS I/II 80:20, while the previous transaction was reported at $258/mt CFR for the same grade.
