According to market sources, domestic HMS I scrap quotations in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) are currently at AED 800/mt ($218/mt) ex-yard, increasing by AED 70/mt ($19/mt) compared to price levels on August 24.
Additionally, early in the current month UAE-based steel producer Emirates Steel Industries (ESI) announced it new domestic scrap purchase prices at AED 575/mt ($157/mt) CPT on average, raising them by AED 5/mt ($2/mt) compared to price levels on August 24.
