Domestic scrap prices in Saudi Arabia

Demand for scrap in the Saudi Arabian market has been at low levels this week. As a result, average domestic scrap prices in the country have slightly softened. Domestic HMS I/II 80:20 scrap prices in the western regions of Saudi Arabia have remained stable compared to the price levels recorded on July 28 at SAR 700-750/mt ($187-200/mt) ex-yard, while prices for the same material in eastern Saudi Arabia have moved down during the given period to SAR 800-850/mt ($213-227/mt) ex-yard.
