Market sources tell SteelOrbis that demand for ex-Black Sea scrap in Turkey has recovered after deep sea scrap offers to Turkey settled above the level of $400/mt CFR, while it is heard that an ex-Romania A3 scrap deal was concluded at $387/mt CFR yesterday, December 17. Meanwhile, ex-Russia A3 scrap deals have been concluded in Turkey in the range of $390-395/mt CFR. Tight availability of scrap in the Black Sea region and increased freight costs, on the other hand, have provided support for scrap offers given from the region in question.
