Having announced earlier their intentions to increase coke prices due to stronger demand from steelmakers and depleted inventories, this week coke plants in China have successfully achieved the first round of their intended price hike. Accordingly, first-grade coke prices in China have increased by RMB 200-240/mt ($28-34/mt) compared to levels a week ago.
