SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have risen by NTD 200/mt ($6/mt) over the past week to NTD 8,300-9,000/mt ($264-287/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained stable over the past week at NTD 30,500-33,000/mt ($971-1,051/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for late December shipments.
