SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have declined by NTD 200/mt ($7/mt) over the past week to NTD 7,700-8,400/mt ($254-277/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained stable over the past week at NTD 32,500-35,000/mt ($1,073-1,155/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for early October shipments.
