SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have dropped by NTD 300/mt ($9/mt) over the past week to NTD 9,700-10,400/mt ($305-327/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have dropped by NTD 1,000/mt ($31/mt) over the past week to NTD 35,500-38,000/mt ($1,116-1,194/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for shipments in late July.
