SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have declined by NTD 300/mt ($10/mt) over the past week to NTD 11,800-12,500/mt ($384-407/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained stable over the past week at NTD 43,500-46,000/mt ($1,417-1,498/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for late May shipments.
