SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 200/mt ($6/mt) over the past week to NTD 9,700-10,400/mt ($304-325/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have risen by NTD 500/mt ($16/mt) over the past week to NTD 36,500-39,000/mt ($1,142-1,220/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for shipments in mid-May.
