SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan are currently at NTD 10,200-10,700/mt ($349-366/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis, while stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market are at NTD 37,500-41,000/mt ($1,282-1,402/mt) ex-yard. Due to the holiday for the Chinese New Year (February 15-21), domestic scrap prices in Taiwan have remained unchanged during the past two weeks.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for late March or early April shipments.
