SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 300/mt over the past week to NTD 8,200-8,800/mt ($287-308/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have moved sideways over the past week at NTD 37,000-39,500/mt ($1,297-1,385/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for late December shipments.
