Carbon and stainless scrap prices in Taiwanese domestic market - week 36

SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 200/mt ($7/mt) since last week and are still quoted at NTD 10,700-11,600/mt ($358-388/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
 
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have trended sideways over the same period, remaining at NTD 52,000-57,000/mt ($1,741-1,909/mt) ex-yard.
 
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for middle of September shipments.
