SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have increased by NTD 400/mt during the past week to NTD 8,300-8,600/mt ($274-283/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have moved up by NTD 500/mt on the upper end over the past week to NTD 33,000-36,500/mt ($1,087-1,203/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for mid-September shipments.
