SteelOrbis has been informed that the prices of HMS I/II carbon scrap in Taiwan have decreased by NTD 200/mt ($7/mt) since last week and are now quoted at NTD 10,700-11,600/mt ($358-388/mt) ex-yard on actual weight basis.
In the meantime, stainless steel scrap prices in the Taiwanese domestic market have remained unchanged over the same period and are still at NTD 54,000-59,000/mt ($1,805-1,972/mt) ex-yard.
The above prices include five percent VAT and are for late July shipments.
