Market sources confirm that a Turkish steelmaker has concluded another ex-St. Petersburg deal for 25,000 mt of HMS I/II 80:20 scrap at $259/mt CFR, indicating that the downward movement in import scrap prices in Turkey has not yet stopped. The import scrap market in Turkey has started the last week of the month with scrap deals concluded at very low prices, catching market players by surprise.
