Market sources confirm that a Turkish steelmaker has concluded an ex-St. Petersburg deal for 12,000 mt of HMS I/II 80:20 scrap and 3,000 mt of bonus grade scrap at the average price level of $255/mt CFR. After the ex-Baltic transaction deals in Turkey concluded at $270-272/mt CFR at the beginning of last week, this latest transaction price level is considered to be quite low.
