Another rise in local Turkish scrap market

Thursday, 24 December 2020 15:53:13 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul

Today, December 24, another price rise in the local Turkish scrap market has been observed within the range of TRY 80-200/mt or $15-31/mt, depending on the buyer and the grade. The other mills’ dollar based quotations have increased by $4-5/mt in this period amid the ongoing strengthening of the lira against the dollar. Despite the revisions, the general range in the local Turkish scrap market for the benchmark DKP grade scrap is still in the range of TRY 3,250-3,825/mt, while the dollar-based quotations have increased from the range of $426-501/mt to $430-507/mt.
