Another cut from Turkish mills for ship scrap prices

Today, May 3, Izmir-based mills have cut their ship scrap procurement prices once again by $5-25/mt. The general price range is now at $400-405/mt as compared to the previous range of $405-426/mt, both for delivery to mill by truck. The total decline in ship scrap prices since May began is now $25-35/mt, signalling there is still some room for another cut. 

In Turkey's Izmir region, the ship scrap purchase prices of local steelmakers are as follows:
