Local Turkish wire rod prices have moved up by $10/mt over the week due to the positive sentiment in import scrap segment and better trading activity on exports.
Turkish mills mainly offer wire rod for August production. Sources report the delivery time is extended up to mid-August due to the previous wire rod export orders’ loading. In addition size restriction is still valid in most of the regions.
Especially in Iskenderun region , even slighlty higher prices are being voiced as of today. Turkish wire rod buyers are in a wait and see stance and try to organize their purchases to meet the best delivery time for their production.
