SteelOrbis has been informed that offers from a steel producer in Izmir in Turkey's Aegean region for 5.5 mm drawing quality wire rod have been issued at $640/mt ex-works, while its offers for 20MnB4 grade have been set at $740/mt ex-works.
In addition, the producer's offers for 5.5 mm drawing quality wire rod are at $655/mt delivered to Istanbul and its offers for 20MnB4 grade are at $755/mt delivered to Istanbul. Its offers have risen by $10/mt for both grades. The main reasons for the price increases are the ongoing currency fluctuations and firm scrap prices. All price changes are as compared to August 24.
The mill has raised its 5.5-16 mm SAE 1010/mesh grade price by $15/mt to $620/mt ex-works in Izmir, while raising its 5.5-7.5 mm SAE 1008 grade-2A price by $20/mt to $630/mt ex-works.
All the above prices exclude 20 percent VAT and are for cash payment.
