SteelOrbis has been informed by market sources that local producers' price levels in the Turkish domestic market for 6-7 mm mesh quality wire rod are as follows:

Region

Price ($/mt)

Marmara

460-480

Thrace

460-475

Izmir

460-510

Iskenderun

445-455

The above prices, which are on actual weight basis, do not include VAT and are on ex-works basis. The offers may differ depending on buyers and order sizes.

According to market sources, wire rod demand in the local Turkish market is currently at medium levels although not yet very stable, while market players are forced to determine their strategy without being able to see ahead due to the lack of clarity surrounding the market. Meanwhile, wire rod prices have remained firm, staying unchanged on the back of strong import scrap prices.
