SteelOrbis has been informed by market sources that local producers' price levels in the Turkish domestic market for 6-7 mm mesh quality wire rod are as follows:

The above prices, which are on actual weight basis, exclude VAT and are on ex-works basis. The offers may differ depending on buyers and order sizes.

Buyers in the local Turkish wire rod market have continued their purchases only in line with their needs as they consider the current economic climate to be uncertain due to the fluctuation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar which has resulted in the Turkish lira losing significant value.

Meanwhile, Turkish steel producers have kept their domestic wire rod offers stable over the past week despite the weakness of demand as they take production costs into consideration since import scrap prices are still higher than their expectations.
