Turkish wire rod export prices have fallen by an average of $10/mt over the past week and are current at $570-580/mt FOB. Having accelerated after the quota initiated by the European Union (EU) on steel imports, Turkey’s wire rod sales to the region have slowed down in the current week. As Turkish mills have lost the support provided by demand received from the EU, they have reduced their export prices amid the decreases seen in import scrap and billet quotations.
