Turkish small sections in US market
Small sections from
Turkey are offered in the US market in the range of $475-495/mt CFR FO US Gulf ports. This represents a price decrease of approximately $50/mt from our last pricing report on May 6, 2005. The pricing trend is still down although there are some signs that the
billet prices are close to bottoming out. If the
billet prices stabilize, then
merchant bar prices will not go down significantly further.
