SteelOrbis is informed that Turkish mills are offering rebars for export to destinations other than the US and Persian Gulf markets at $965-1,000/mt FOB on actual weight basis for June shipments.

The Turkish producers selling to the UAE are offering at price levels of $1,000/mt FOB, while Turkish producers selling to destinations other than the UAE are offering at $965-970/mt FOB.

It is difficult to say that the Turkish rebar export market is active. Following the sales of Turkish mills (i.e. those mills that have markets in countries other than the UAE) concluded last week from Iskenderun to Syria, Jordan and Lebanon at the price levels of $950-960/mt FOB, the offers of the mills in question have increased to above $960/mt FOB this week.

The prices in the overall European rebar markets are increasing; however, the markets in question are still not ready to accept the Turkish prices.

Most big buyers in the UAE prefer to wait for now.

The rebar prices in the US rebar market have also increased; however, this market is also not ready to accept the Turkish mills' price levels for the time being.
