The above prices, which are on actual weight basis, exclude VAT and are on ex-works basis. The offers may differ depending on buyers and order sizes.

It is observed that Turkish wire rod producers have preferred to focus on their export markets over the past week. They have concluded sales to their target markets in this period. Market sources state that buyers have maintained a wait-and-see stance in the given week as they conclude purchases only in line with their needs since the negative sentiment regarding Turkey’s economic data has not changed in the past seven days.  Although buyers in the local Turkish wire rod market are exerting downward pressure on prices, mills have kept their domestic wire rod offers stable week on week with the support provided by their export sales which are currently at good levels.
