Turkish mill Icdas raises its longs prices amid strong scrap trend

In the morning of today, December 10, Turkish mill Icdas increased its domestic rebar price in the local currency by TRY 40/mt to TRY 5,230/mt ($563/mt) ex-works, while its rebar price on US dollar basis was changed just slightly, against a backdrop of costlier scrap. In the afternoon, the producer hiked its rebar price once again to TRY 5,340/mt ($575/mt) ex-works. Meanwhile, the steelmaker’s wire rod price remained unchanged at TRY 6,050/mt ($651/mt) ex-works in the morning. In the afternoon, however, the producer raised its wire rod prices to TRY 6,175/mt ($665/mt) ex-works.

Prices on Turkish lira basis include 18 percent VAT, while offers on US dollar basis do not.
