Over the past week, most Turkish merchant bar re-rollers have increased their official equal angle export prices by $10/mt on the higher end to $600-620/mt FOB, for June shipment, against the backdrop of relatively higher import scrap prices. "Demand in the Balkan region has recovered slightly," one source mentioned. “The minimum equal angle price is expected to be around $600/mt FOB under the current market conditions," another source commented. Most international buyers are in wait-and-see mode while they monitor the import scrap price trend.

The SteelOrbis Turkish import billet daily reference price stands at $460-480/mt CFR, versus $455-475/mt CFR last week.

Product Price ($/mt)
Angle 600-620
IPN-UPN 610-630
Flat bar 630-650
IPE 610-630

All prices are on FOB basis for June shipment.
