Turkish merchant bar export prices

During the past two weeks, demand for Turkish merchant bar in the export markets has remained at weak levels, while Turkish merchant bar export prices have declined by $20/mt on the upper end. Market sources believe that the fall recorded in ex-CIS billet quotations has influenced the reduction in Turkish exporters' merchant bar prices, while the rise in import scrap quotations has supported the sideways movement of the lower end of Turkish merchant bar export prices.
