The domestic wire rod prices have stabilized in most of the regions of Turkey while only in the Izmir area the suppliers have decreased the offers by $5/mt. Sources say that the level of $830/mt ex-works, which corresponds to the upper end of the range, is hardly achievable as of today. Most Turkish suppliers are offering wire rod for late August-September delivery. On the demand side, most buyers are refraining from wire rod purchases amid the unclear situation in the import scrap segment.
