As of today, May 20, official wire rod prices in Turkey have mostly risen by $5/mt compared to May 12, amid higher import scrap prices except in the Izmir region where aggressive pricing policies are applied. According to sources, one Iskenderun-based mill is rumored to be testing a wire rod price of $605/mt ex-works, up by $5/mt over the same period, depending on the tonnage and payment terms.

According to sources, workable wire rod prices in Turkey are standing at $600-620/mt ex-works, indicating an increase of $5/mt on the higher end over the same period.
