Today, April 15, in Turkey rebar spot prices have decreased only in the Izmir region, down by TRY 10/mt, with just minor changes seen on the US dollar basis. The other traders have kept their offer prices stable. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 5,850-5,910/mt or $613-619/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region. The Turkish Central Bank (TCMB) has kept interest rates stable today and some more clarity is expected to be seen in the rebar segment tomorrow since many market players had postponed their activities ahead of the interest rate announcement.
Most mills in the Marmara and Izmir regions have kept their list prices at $620-635/mt ex-works. In the Samsun region, Yesilyurt A.S. has kept its rebar price at TRY 6,050/mt ($634/mt) ex-works.
