Today, June 30, Turkish domestic rebar spot prices have mostly decreased by TRY 40-50/mt, with just minor changes on US dollar basis, compared to Monday, June 28, amid the slowness in trading activity and currency fluctuations. Accordingly, 12 mm rebar spot prices in Turkey are now at TRY 7,120-7,250/mt or $695-708/mt ex-warehouse, depending on the region.
Turkish producers are mainly offering rebar at $710-720/mt ex-works. According to sources, small tonnage rebar sales were rumored at around $700/mt ex-works in the Marmara region earlier this week.
In the Samsun region, Yesilyurt Metallurgy closed its rebar sales until Thursday, July 1. “ The producer has already sold its local rebar tonnage for July delivery and may not open its rebar sales tomorrow,” one source mentioned.
