Turkish merchant bar producers have hiked their domestic merchant bar prices by TRY 550-650/mt ($8-10/mt) amid the ongoing currency fluctuations and higher production costs, in particular higher prices of import scrap.
One Iskenderun-based mill has issued its equal angle price at TRY 27,800/mt ($627/mt) ex-works today, March 24.
Most merchant bar sellers are offering either for deliveries in April or from stocks, depending on the size.
Most buyers are only purchasing in line with their daily needs.
