According to market sources, Turkey's rebar export offers have indicated no changes since last week and are still standing in the range of $565-575/mt FOB, on actual weight basis. Despite weak demand on the export side, with the ongoing upward movement of import scrap prices - offers have increased by $20/mt in the past two weeks, Turkish producers have found sufficient support for their export offers and so have maintained their firm stance on their rebar export offer levels.

After the conclusion of ex-Turkey rebar deals in Egypt, the UAE and Yemen in the range of $555-565/mt FOB in previous weeks, no new ex-Turkey rebar deal has been heard in the region. Meanwhile, rebar offers from Turkey's Iskenderun region to Iraq, where activity is starting to pick up, are at $575-580/mt ex-works.
