Today, March 3, Turkey’s Kardemir opened its rebar sales and then closed them after a couple of hours, having succeeded in selling around 59,600 mt.

The supplier opened its rebar sales today at TRY 11,575/mt ($820/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT. The supplier had issued its previous price list on Tuesday, February 1. The main reason for the tonnage sold was the aggressive price and the advantageous payment terms. Sources report that some mills in the Izmir and Marmara regions are currently offering rebar at $860/mt ex-works, while some of the mills have closed their rebar sales for now.
