Today, May 12, Turkey’s Kardemir has closed its rebar sales after a couple of hours. According to sources, the supplier succeeded in selling around 28,500 mt of rebar at TRY 12,150/mt ($790/mt) ex-works with its aggressive pricing policy and advantageous payment terms, while the revision of the VAT policy at the beginning of May is one of the factors limiting sales of higher rebar tonnages.
