Today, March 25, Turkish mill Kardemir has opened its local sales for specific wire rod grades apart from low-carbon grade wire rod as per the list below. The producer’s rebar, billet and merchant bar sales are still closed. The producer has issued its list price only on US dollar basis and for cash payment, on ex-works basis. The general range in Turkish local wire rod market for SAE 1008-1010 for sizes 6.5-8 mm was at $695-715/mt ex-works earlier this week, while the list prices for 20MnB4 5.5-16 mm were at $815/mt ex-works in Turkey’s Aegean region on Monday, March 15. No fresh wire rod sales have heard for now.
