Today, October 5, Turkish integrated mill Kardemir has hiked its dollar-based wire rod prices by $17/mt as compared to Friday, September 9, against the backdrop of currency fluctuations and higher production costs.
Accordingly, Kardemir’s price for 5.5 mm SAE 1008-1010 grade wire rod is currently at $757/mt ex-works, while its 6-27 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $717/mt ex-works. In addition, 28-56 mm wire rod of the same steel grade is offered at $742/mt ex-works.
