Turkish integrated steel mill Kardemir has closed its domestic rebar sales in its local market as of today, May 6, having sold approximately 55,750 mt at TRY 2,755/mt ($389/mt) ex-works.
The key reasons for the good volume of sales were the currency fluctuations and the attractive price which is closer to the lower end of the current local rebar spot price range in Turkey of $390-392/mt ex-warehouse.
