Turkey’s Kardemir closes its rebar sales

Today, August 2, Turkey’s Kardemir closed its rebar sales in the afternoon, selling 15,000-25,000 mt in total. The mill had opened its rebar sales at TRY 10,955/mt ($610/mt) ex-works, excluding VAT, earlier this morning. The supplier’s rebar price indicates a TRY 815/mt ($49/mt) decrease compared to its previous list issued on Tuesday, July 26. Currently, a few mills are offering rebar at $605-630/mt ex-works in the Izmir and Marmara regions, SteelOrbis has heard.
