Trading volume decreases in Saudi rebar market

Rebar retail prices in the Saudi Arabian domestic market are at SAR 2,900/mt ($773/mt) ex-warehouse, while wholesale prices stand at SAR 2,800/mt ($747/mt) ex-works.

On the other hand, the latest ex-Turkey rebar deal has concluded in Saudi Arabia at $580/mt CFR, while the latest transaction for Turkish billet has been concluded at $535-545/mt CFR in the country.

With the impact of Ramadan, Saudi buyers are not rushing to conclude new deals and so the trading volume in the country has decreased. Meanwhile, despite some rumors in the market regarding possible new rebar purchases from Turkey in the coming days, the situation in the Saudi rebar market remains unclear.
