The above prices, which are on actual weight basis, exclude VAT and are on ex-works basis. The offers may differ depending on buyers and order sizes.

Domestic wire rod prices on ex-works basis in the local Turkish market have remained unchanged over the past week amid the sideways movement of scrap prices and due to the sharp depreciation of the Turkish lira against the US dollar.

While buyers in the local Turkish steel market have remained cautious in the same period, causing trading activity to decline slightly, market sources state that local steel producers are still concluding wire rod sales to their domestic market.
