Tokyo Steel carries over rebar prices into April

On February 19, SteelOrbis reported that Tokyo Steel Manufacturing Co Ltd announced stable pricing for March deliveries. Prices for rebar were reportedly at JPY 69,000/mt ($624/mt) ex-mill, while H-shaped beams were reportedly at JPY 89,000/mt ($805/mt) ex-mill.

Tokyo Steel recently announced that it is maintaining finished steel prices for April. Prices for rebar are reportedly still at JPY 69,000/mt ($620/mt) ex-mill, while H-shaped beams are reportedly stable at JPY 89,000/mt ($799/mt) ex-mill. Due to currency fluctuations, rebar decreased $4/mt and H-shaped beams $6/mt. The last price increase was implemented in February 2018.
