Although Spain’s rebar export prices have mostly remained stable over the past week, slightly lower Spanish offers have also been heard in the international markets. It is reported that, having been mostly at €485/mt FOB last week, Spanish rebar export offers to the northern and western Africa are at €480-485/mt ($547-553/mt) FOB in the current week. SteelOrbis has been informed that Spanish rebar producers now have a larger share in the US market since Turkish mills lost this market, while Spain’s rebar export offers to the US are currently at $772/mt DDP loaded truck in US Gulf ports.
