Experiencing a difficult time due to global competition, Spanish rebar suppliers have received low demand from the export markets over the past week. Market sources state that Spanish rebar suppliers are in no rush to conclude sales as they believe the new EU quotas on import rebar - to be imposed as of February - will be used up quickly and so prices will increase. Accordingly, Spanish rebar suppliers have kept their export offers unchanged over the past week at €480-490/mt ($552-564/mt) FOB.
